SEEKING PRODUCTION POTTER IN SAN FRANCISCO-BASED CERAMICS PRODUCTION STUDIO

Looking for an amazing and skilled potter - specifically wheel-throwing and trimming - for part-time studio work. Someone who is hard working, passionate about clay and ceramics, and production pottery. Someone fun, energetic and focused.

Desired Skills:

● Self starter with an extreme attention to detail

● Go-getter and hustler, with excellent time management skills

● Ability to switch gears and take on a wide range of tasks and duties

● Thrives in a fast-paced environment

Duties and tasks:

● Wheel-throwing a wide range of shapes and sizes

● Cups, bowls, vases, etc. etc.

● High degree of consistency

● Ability to throw 50+ pieces a day

● Trimming and finishing thrown pieces to MaryMar’s specifications

● General studio tasks

Physical Requirements:

**This position is VERY physical and requires considerable amount of strength and energy**

● Ability to lift 50lbs or more

● Extended periods of time on the wheel

STUDIO ASSISTANT WANTED IN (AWESOME) PRODUCTION CERAMICS STUDIO

Looking for someone to help with pottery production who is hard working, diligent and has attention to detail. Need someone who is passionate about clay and ceramics with a basic understanding of the material and the process of making pottery. A good sense of humor is a plus.

Desired Skills:

● Self starter and willingness to learn

● Ability to switch gears and take on a wide range of tasks and duties

● Thrives in a VERY fast-paced environment

● Experience working in a clay studio

Duties and tasks:

● General maintenance, organization and studio upkeep

● Wedging clay

● Making glazes

● Loading kilns

● Sanding pottery

● Rolling slabs

● Glazing

● Packing/shipping

Physical Requirements:

**This position is very physical and requires considerable amount of strength and energy**

● Ability to lift 50lbs or more

● Extended periods of time on your feet
